BriefBuilt Cookie Policy

This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used on briefbuilt.com. It supplements the Privacy Policy.

1. Your choice

Strictly necessary technologies are used without consent where permitted because the site, security, checkout or a feature you request cannot work without them. Optional analytics, personalisation or marketing technologies are activated only after consent where required. “Accept” and “Reject” must be equally accessible in the first layer. Change or withdraw your choice at any time through “Cookie preferences” in the footer.

2. Categories

• Necessary: Shopify storefront, cart, checkout, fraud/security, load balancing, privacy-choice storage and requested chat functionality.
• Preferences: remembers choices such as the newsletter popup being closed. BriefBuilt stores `briefbuilt_newsletter_closed` locally for 14 days; it is not used to track you across websites.
• Analytics: measures website use and performance. Non-essential analytics requires prior consent. Configure privacy-friendly analytics with data minimisation and the shortest practical retention.
• Marketing: supports advertising or cross-site measurement. This category is off until explicit consent and is not required to buy a service.

3. Current providers

Shopify provides the storefront, checkout, privacy banner, performance tooling and any configured pixels. Shopify Inbox provides the chat widget. Exact cookie names and durations can change when Shopify updates its platform. The live consent manager must display the current provider, purpose and duration before consent; this page must be reviewed after every app or pixel change.

4. Managing browser data

You can also delete or block browser storage in your browser settings. Blocking necessary technologies can prevent the cart, checkout or requested features from working. Browser settings do not replace withdrawal through the site where a server-side consent record or pixel setting is involved.
